Colour - Life Painting

After a lecture on color and exploring different complimentary colors I put this to the test by painting a life model with colours projected onto him, such as red and green this created intresting shades and shadows to depict through paint. This is my representation of the life model and my exploration through color.

These are a selection of artists I found inspiring during the lecture. Firstly being Sol LeWitt a painter who belonged to various movements, including Conceptual art and Minimalism.
''Minimalism wasn't a real idea- it ended before it started.''Sol LeWitt.

Secondly is the artist Bernard Freize who is connected with movements such as minimalism, abstract Expressionism, and color Field painting.

Lastly is the artist Yayoi Kusama, this piece of art is made through the use of fairy lights exhibited in a installation. Yoyoi is connected with minimalism and pop art movements. Most of her work exhibits her interest in psychedelic colors, repetition and pattern.
